In-Building Wireless Workshop to Take Place June 9 in Chicago, IL

New York, NY- May 20, 2015 – The Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association (NEDAS), an association of in-building wireless solution providers including Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell professionals, Heterogeneous Network (HetNet) solutions and end-users throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, announces its In-Building Wireless Solutions Workshop at Light Reading’s Big Telecom Event (BTE), taking place from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

The NEDAS In-Building Wireless Solutions Workshop at BTE brings together industry thought-leaders for an informative, insightful and practical two-hour, two-panel discussion.  Panelists will discuss the technologies, solutions, challenges and opportunities available for deploying a reliable and effective in-building wireless solution. The first panel, titled DAS, Wi-Fi, Femtocells – Key Elements to Deploying a Fully Integrated Solution, will discuss crucial steps to ensure how the system you deploy can function as a cohesive and operational platform.  The second, In-Building Wireless – It’s Not Just Wi-Fi and More Important than You Think…Here’s Why, will explore the opportunities and complexities associated with in-building wireless including addressing the issues of cost.  Following the discussions, workshop attendees will enjoy a private cocktail reception in addition to the BTE cocktail hour and demonstration-taking place on the exhibition floor.

“According to Gartner, 80% of mobile use occurs inside buildings, yet majority of the wireless networks being installed today risk not being able to handle the mobile traffic load by the end of this year,” remarks Ilissa Miller, President of the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association.   “NEDAS, in partnership with Light Reading, is excited to offer BTE attendees a look into the design, engineering and implementation options that are innovating in-building wireless technology solutions and directly address these key industry challenges.”

The workshop features speakers Arnold Kim of ADRF; Rob Benson of Connectivity Wireless; Doug Wiest of EdgeConneX®; Art Meierdirk of INOC; Todd Landry of JMA Wireless; John Bramfeld of Mobilitie; Tim Doherty of Server Farm Realty; Mike Collado of SOLiD; Douglas Fishman of Squan Solutions; and Ray LaChance of ZenFi Networks.   NEDAS affiliates can leverage a 20% discount on the entire BTE event registration; simply click on the NEDAS workshop unique link.  All registrants will be able to attend the regular BTE programs in addition to the NEDAS In-Building Wireless Solutions Workshop.
