In Episode 27, Bernard discusses the great growth of the telecom industry that exploded during the COVID-19 pandemic, which speaks to the critical nature of wireless communications. The growth of the industry has put an emphasis on the company’s ESG initiatives, which is a critical component of Vertical Bridge’s company culture. Bernard shares that companies do not need to sacrifice probability in order to “go green.” While remaining profitable, Vertical Bridge became the first power company in the world to become carbon-neutral in 2020. Vertical Bridge is committed to being environmentally responsible with its next goal of becoming net-zero in the years to come.

During the program, Bernard shared insights about Vertical Bridge’s commitment to company culture, diversity and inclusion. The company is dedicated to causes, offering charity contributions to organizations selected by employees. Bernard expresses the importance of recognizing that Vertical Bridge offers a wide range of employment opportunities and that the telecommunications industry “is an industry that basically touches every aspect of a professional career.”

With Charity in its DNA, Vertical Bridge is proud to give 1% of net revenue to charitable causes each year.  Since inception, the company has donated over $8.3 million to various organizations including those that help United States veterans, the homeless, and education. Education is also a key passion of Vertical Bridge, encouraging and empowering employees and their families with scholarships of up to $130,000 annually.  It’s this culture, commitment to people, and encouraging good deeds beyond the daily workload that has vastly contributed to Vertical Bridge’s success.
